Go Camp 2008 - the end

So, briefly about the events which have recently happened…
Our missionary project for teens “Go-camp-2008” has finished. This time it can be hardly called “a camp” as on the whole the project lasted for 4 months: a training camp, preparatory meetings for teems after it, a 2-week outreach and a final party. Not long ago we wrote a “Go-camp” story till the very end...

Unfortunately, not all the participants managed to preserve the fire God lit in their hearts during a training camp. Consecuently, only 66 young people took part in the outreach. As a matter of fact they where divided into 6 teams and served God in 5 different countries: Slovakia, Finland, Germany,the Ukraine and Russia. Teens from our church served in Leningrad region ( the town Tihvin and its outskirts) and in Slovakia.

There was a great deal of various kinds of activities: work with the kids (mostly with those from orphanages, crisis centres, etc.), creative programs in the streets, clubs for the youth and adults, serving to church people and practical work with our own hands. At the same time the teens showed a high level of commitment to God. What is also of great importance - they made friends and, finally, the spiritual growth of the majority of them is vivid.

In other words, we may say that the “Go-camp-2008” was a success! Praise to the Lord!
